Junior Internal Auditor

Job Summary
Your duties as the Junior Internal Auditor include the following:
Collaborate effectively with team members
Manage your time to align with project budgets
Maintain proactive communication with the Senior Internal Auditor on progress updates
Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently
Ensure smooth daily operations and facilitating effective execution and review of audit tasks
Contribute to the team’s understanding of legislative requirements and complex issues
Assist in developing documents and presentations that outline issues
Evaluate internal controls
Apply professional audit techniques
Prepare audit work papers
Gain understanding of the industry, risks, and process related to the assessment area
Assist with project planning documentation
Prepare and assist in drafting the Business Process, Risk and Control matrix for review by the Senior Auditors
Assist in completing project quality assurance documentation
Perform essential administrative duties on a day-to-day basis as needed
Skills & Experience:
2 years of experience in a similar role
Report writing skills
Training presentation skills
Qualification:
Completed Btech degree in Internal auditing, Finance or Accounting
Grade 12 (Matric)

Job Summary
Work independently, raising any challenges to the Senior Internal Auditor / Team Leader Expert to ensure timely task completion
Support Senior Internal Auditors / Team Leader Expert to facilitate daily operations and audit task execution
Conduct research and analysis to support the team’s understanding of legislative requirements and complex issues, presenting findings clearly
Assist in creating documents and presentations outlining issues, solutions, and implications
Evaluate internal controls, conduct audits, prepare work papers, and document findings during financial, operational, and compliance audits
Understand industry risks and processes and assist in drafting the Risk and Initial Assessment Summary
Contribute to planning documentation and assist in applying sampling methodology
Prepare the Business Process, Risk & Control Matrix for review by the Senior Internal Auditor / Team Leader Expert
Challenge and provide input to the Audit Program
Conduct audit tests, ensuring high-quality working papers
Identify issues, draft audit findings, and submit them for review
Assist in drafting the Internal Audit report and completing quality assurance documentation
Handle basic administrative duties and carry out other tasks as assigned
Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Junior internal Audit role
Exposure to the financial services space will be beneficial
Flexible and adaptable
Strong communication skills
Qualification:
Completed BCom or Btech degree in Finance or Internal Audit
