About the role:
The Report Co-ordinator is responsible for ensuring the data and records generated on site are translated into a sound test report for the customer. The incumbent will have a good understanding of industrial processes that result in air emissions, can communicate well with customers and team members alike, and
work with an internationally-acceptable quality system to maintain verifiable results. The Report Co-ordinator will be involved with the provision of an innovative and quality-based service to customers, and the management and oversight of business processes. In addition, the role for which are have been
appointed is reliant on your expertise as BSc degree holder and from time to time your role will encompass related deliverables. This may require amendments to your roles and responsibilities from time to time.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Reporting

• Manage the reporting process to ensure that all raw data is submitted and compiled, thatall calculations are completed by the site technicians and that the report is completed tothe client’s and KCM Environmental’s quality specifications.
• Prepare detailed project reports, including data analysis, compliance reports, and client summaries.
• Review raw data, draft the report, and submit to the project manager and Technical Manager for peer review.
• Assure quality of presentation of all reports.
• Deliver post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

2. Operational Management

• Provide support as required for site testing, quality review and laboratory work.
• Coordinate with the Project manager/Technical manager to ensure that projects are scheduled, laboratory samples are efficiently managed and reports are produced timeously.
• Ensure customer files are maintained with all relevant documents and records.
• Monitor team performance, ensuring adherence to company and industry standards.

3. Client Liaison

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients when sending reports
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their requirements are understood and met.
• Provide regular updates to clients regarding report progress, issues, and solutions.

4. Regulatory Compliance & Standards

• Ensure all testing complies with local, national, and international environmental regulations (e.g., NEMA).
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure the company’s practices remain compliant.
• Oversee the quality control and assurance processes to ensure accurate and compliant data is delivered.

5. Financial

• Manage project contractual issues and ensure that contracts are amended to reflected actual work and scope.
• Initiate, review and authorise the project invoice/s, to be sent with draft report.
• Ensure that payments are received as quickly as possible by ensuring that the customer is satisfied with the report and that that the invoice has been approved for payment.

6. Health and Safety/ Quality Management

• Promote a safety-first culture among employees.
• Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
• Ensure proper record-keeping for KCM Environmental to ensure that the health and safety system is reasonably implemented.
• Ensure that all safety equipment is in good working order.

Sustain the Quality Management System:

• Assist with set up and continuously improve the quality management system by identifying and implementing better ways of working.
• Assist with quality assessments, external and internal audits.
• Assist with the evaluation and root cause analysis of non-conformances, complaints, audit findings and improvement requests, and ensure timely close-out.
• Evaluate changes to procedures as requested from time to time, approve and implement changes.
• Assist with developing procedures and work instructions for the emission and ambient testing divisions in conjunction with technical/operation staff.
• Keep records of all quality-related information and processes for the stack and ambient testing divisions, consistent with the company quality system.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement amongst employees.
• Assist with training employees on quality-related matters.

7. Ad hoc duties

• Represent KCM Environmental at industry events.
• Constantly assess the business and make recommendations for business process improvement and implement agreed recommendations.
• Perform any other reasonable task assigned by the Technical Manager.

Requirements

• South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
• Must not have participated on the programme before.
• Matric
• Minimum BSc Chemistry or equivalent
• BSc Chem Engineering or equivalent
