Job Description
– A tertiary qualification in business administration, sales, marketing, communications, business management or a related field (preferred).
– Brand/product knowledge is a great advantage.
– Proficient in MS Office, including Excel.
OTHER
– Travel nationally and internationally with overnight stays.
– Valid driver’s license.
– Valid passport.

– Several years’ experience in field sales of power tool products and applications requiring explanation to the trade.
– High-level sales negotiation skills & confidence to close deals.
– Strong retail relationships.

– Determination and perseverance.
– Excellent planning and organising skills.
– Must be able to demonstrate your skills: working with wood and power tools – Essential requirement.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A POWER TOOL SALES SPECIALIST…
– Consistently achieve and sustain both company-defined and self-driven sales targets.
– Proactively drive sales to targeted trade partners.
– Plan, implement, and maintain both standardised and tailored POS initiatives, including premium product presentation systems.
– Develop, present, and execute impactful sales promotions, while engaging directly with trade partners and their customers.
– Deliver professional product demonstrations and training sessions, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of system products.
– Strategically acquire new Trade Partners through proactive prospecting and cold calling.
– Collect, analyse, and apply territory data to maximise market potential.
– Collaborate closely with colleagues across sales, training, and marketing to align and drive market development efforts.
– Represent our brands at regional and national events, including trade fairs, roadshows, and in-house exhibitions.
REMUNERATION
Gross package:
– Basic salary (cash): R5 659.60 p/m;
– Commission: R16 000 – R21 000 p/m (Based on current sales in the region);
– Incentive: R1 500 p/m when target is reached;
– Medical aid: 50% Company contribution for employee, spouse, + children (optional after 3 months) – Any plan of Medihelp & Discovery;
– Provident fund: R987 p/m Company contribution (optional for employee to add additional funds);
– Other benefits: Life, disability & funeral cover – Momentum Insurance;

– Company laptop & data, cellphone, vehicle (fringe benefit tax applies for the personal use of the vehicle. Excludes private fuel; – Includes maintenance, services, tolls).
