Job Description
Critical Criteria (Requirements)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Sous Chef role, preferably focused on breakfast or a similar F&B outlet in a 4/5-star hotel or luxury resort
- Proven experience in supervising kitchen teams and managing high-volume breakfast operations
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene standards
- Culinary qualification or diploma advantageous
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- South African citizen with a valid ID

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning and preparing breakfast menus
- Supervise breakfast operations, ensuring timely, high-quality food production
- Manage and coach junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs and culinary standards
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control during service
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations
- Collaborate with F&B and service teams to ensure smooth coordination during breakfast service
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering of breakfast ingredients
- Support continuous improvement of culinary techniques, workflows, and guest satisfaction
- Live and promote the hotel’s values of Teamwork, Respect, Innovation, Accountability, Passion, and Integrity
Package on Offer
- Basic salary (TBA)
