Job Description
This is a 3 month fixed term contract and is based in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg North.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering HR inputs and processing all payroll data in line with internal controls and timelines.
- Managing and processing medical aid, provident fund and other third-party payments, including garnishee orders.
- Preparing payroll runs and ensuring salary payments are accurate, compliant and on time.
- Completing payroll reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and preparing month-end reports.
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory returns for final sign-off.
- Ensuring all payroll documentation is properly saved and audit-ready.
- Producing detailed payroll reports, including leave analysis, cost of employment tracking, and headcount movements.
- Maintaining and updating payroll systems (Sage 300 and Workday) to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Supporting the Payroll Manager with internal and external audit requirements.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Relevant qualification in Payroll, Finance, or HR Administration (advantageous).
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
- Working knowledge of Sage 300 and Workday preferred.
- Strong understanding of South African payroll legislation and statutory submissions.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
