Chef Luxury Safari Camp | Eastern Cape

Schedule: 3 weeks on, 1 week off

Job Purpose:
The Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for guests at a small but busy luxury safari lodge, ensuring exceptional culinary standards and efficient kitchen operations.

Key Details:

• Live-in position with meals provided while on duty and opportunity to earn tips.

• Fixed-term contract for 36 months, with potential to become permanent.

• Responsible for all aspects of food preparation, menu execution, and maintaining hygiene standards in the kitchen.

• Ensure kitchen operations run smoothly during peak service periods, supporting a small team.

• Assist with menu planning and contributing to creative culinary ideas suitable for the lodge environment.

• Maintain proper stock levels, storage, and control of ingredients and kitchen equipment.

• Comply with all health and safety regulations and lodge standards.

Experience Required:

• Qualified Chef with experience working in small, high-paced hospitality environments.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to the unique requirements of a safari lodge.
