Johannesburg West: Infrastructure Manager posted by Network Finance

You will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable, high-performance infrastructure platforms, managing vendors and service providers, and driving continuous improvement across our IT environment.
This role includes ownership of infrastructure strategy, disaster recovery readiness, performance optimisation, and technical leadership to ensure stability, availability, and capacity across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the infrastructure team in resolving daily incidents, requests, and escalations
• Manage relationships with third-party suppliers, vendors, and service providers to ensure seamless service delivery
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to improve scalability, reliability, and performance
• Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues efficiently
• Oversee disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity
• Plan and manage system installations, upgrades, and migrations across infrastructure platforms
• Ensure database environments support business needs and perform optimally
• Monitor system capacity and performance, producing relevant reporting and insights
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure strong governance across infrastructure services
• Provide team leadership, guidance, and performance management for infrastructure staff

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
• Certifications in relevant IT infrastructure technologies (e.g., VMware, Storage/Backup solutions, Microsoft, Networking, etc.)
• 7+ years’ experience in infrastructure, data centre, hosting, and storage management
• 5+ years’ experience working with VMware technologies
• 5+ years in backup and recovery environments
• 5+ years third-party/vendor management
• 3+ years people management and team leadership experience
