South Africa: GCC Engineer / Project Engineer

Minimum Requirements: National Diploma / BTech / BEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (essential). Government Certificate of Competency (Factories or Mines) (essential). Minimum 3 5 years post-GCC experience in a heavy industrial, mining, or manufacturing environment. Sound knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and applicable engineering standards. Proven experience in project management, maintenance, and plant improvement initiatives. Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills. Medically fit to work on a mine site. Roles and Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering and maintenance projects from initiation to completion. Prepare and manage project budgets, timelines, and technical documentation. Ensure all engineering activities comply with the GCC, OHS Act, and company safety procedures. Oversee plant modifications, installations, and commissioning processes. Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance and operations teams. Conduct regular inspections, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions. Manage contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to meet project deliverables. Participate in audits, inspections, and statutory compliance reviews. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and reliability.
