- Equivalent qualification (Logistics or Transport Management qualification advantageous).
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in logistics, dispatch, or fleet management.
- Valid driver’s license; Code 14 with PDP advantageous.
- Proven track record in managing teams and coordinating multiple vehicles.
- Computer literate with experience in dispatch systems, Excel, or transport management software.
Duties
- Oversee daily dispatch operations and monitor the performance of all drivers and vehicles.
- Strategically plan loads, routes, and delivery schedules based on client priorities, material readiness, and vehicle availability.
- Anticipate vehicle return times, prepare upcoming dispatches, and proactively allocate resources for upcoming orders.
- Monitor system data for upcoming collections/deliveries, ensuring full visibility and no idle time between trips.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, weighbridge tickets, job cards, and delivery documentation.
- Supervise drivers and yard staff, ensuring discipline, teamwork, and high performance.
- Ensure all vehicles and drivers comply with safety standards, company policies, and transport regulations.
