RPO Recruitments client, a well-established civil engineering contractor based in Gauteng, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure and construction projects across Gauteng and neighbouring provinces is currently seeking a hardworking and motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg as soon as possible. Responsibilities: Assist in preparing tender and contract documentation, including bills of quantities. Measure quantities on-site and from drawings for interim valuations and final accounts. Support the procurement process for subcontractors and materials. Monitor project costs and assist in preparing cost reports and cash flow forecasts. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify measured work. Liaise with site managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Assist with the preparation of payment certificates for subcontractors. Support with change management, including assessing variations and claims. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and documentation. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Requirements: National Diploma in Civil/Building or BTech/BSc degree in Quantity Surveying or similar Minimum 3 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role Exposure to large civil engineering projects (bulk earthworks, roads, township services, industrial developments, concrete works, pipelines, culverts, etc.) Proficiency in MS Excel and general MS Office Suite Knowledge of CCS Candy Understanding of civil construction drawings and specifications. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Willingness to work on-site and travel to various project locations. Eager to learn and grow within a supportive team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
