A leading plastic manufacturing company based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to oversee the implementation and maintenance of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality systems across the facility. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ management systems, policies, and procedures in line with industry standards and regulations. Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality legislation and company requirements. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and opportunities for improvement. Lead incident investigations and ensure effective root cause analysis and corrective actions. Promote employee awareness and training on SHEQ matters to enhance safety culture across all departments. Monitor and report on SHEQ performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement initiatives are achieved. Collaborate with management and production teams to support safe and efficient operations. Liaise with external auditors, contractors, and regulatory authorities as required. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Management, Quality Management, or a related field. Proven experience in a SHEQ management role within a manufacturing environment (glass, chemical, or industrial sector preferred). Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 systems. Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and environmental legislation. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Attention to detail and a high level of integrity. Benefits Salary: negotiable.
