Were looking for a motivated Junior / Mid-Level PHP Developer to join our growing tech team in Cape Town, WC. In this role, you will architect, develop, and maintain both internal and client-facing functionality, from inception through to deployment. Youll work on exciting projects such as upgrading PHP codebases, developing RESTful APIs, migrating front-end systems to ReactJS, and integrating AI-powered solutions. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain PHP-based applications using MVC frameworks (Symfony or Laravel) Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices (SOLID, DRY, KISS) Monitor, test, improve, and upgrade existing functionality Assist in refactoring legacy code into modern systems Maintain and improve AWS-based production environments Create and consume REST and SOAP APIs Collaborate with a small, dynamic team in a start-up environment Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered) 2 years of practical PHP OOP experience (WordPress experience not sufficient) 2 years experience with MySQL or Postgres 2 years experience with PHP MVC frameworks (Symfony preferred, Laravel acceptable) Proficient with Git and working in a Linux environment (Ubuntu preferred) How To Apply: Contact Hire Resolve today for your next career-changing move Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.
