About the Role

As a Sales and Technical Representative – Machine Tools with Dante Personnel, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining existing customer relationships, conducting regular customer visits, and providing excellent customer service and after-sales support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open and close the branch daily, supported by an Admin/Sales Assistant.
  • Develop, maintain, and grow existing customer relationships.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and business development activities.
  • Prepare quotations and manage customer correspondence.
  • Process sales-related administration using Microsoft Office and email systems.
  • Oversee the loading and offloading of stock, including customer deliveries and incoming stock from Head Office.
  • Provide basic technical support and troubleshoot minor machine-related issues on-site.
  • Liaise with and coordinate external service technicians for warranty and non-warranty repairs.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and after-sales support.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–4 years’ experience within the machine tools industry.
  • Proven sales experience with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Technical background with knowledge of machine tool operation and maintenance.
  • Trade qualification in a technical field will be advantageous.
  • Alternatively, a qualification in Sales, Business, or Commerce combined with relevant technical experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer systems.
  • Basic understanding of machine software and CNC systems will be beneficial.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites.
