Key Responsibilities: Processing clients payroll on Pastel Payroll and other Software packages when required Print, save and send various reports from Payroll for each client Processing clients payroll manually, if/when required Completion and submission of WCC, PAYE, UIF, Income Tax etc. Registrations Bargaining Council returns and submissions Maintaining clients employee details and returns with UIF Completion and submission of WCC returns Monthly submission of PAYE returns for your clients on SARS e-filing Working knowledge of ETI & how to calculate this manually Criteria for an employee to qualify for ETI, how to set it up on Pastel Payroll & what reports to print for EMP201 & Bi-Annual EMP501 PAYE Reconciliation and issuing of IRP5s on Easy File Application for Tax Directives Liaising with SARS, UIF, WCC, Bargaining Councils, Pastel Payroll Bookkeeping to trial balance including preparation and compilation of audit files Data capturing of clients accounting records on Pastel Partner and other accounting packages Completion and submission of certain statutory returns including VAT201 etc Preparation of documentation for VAT, PAYE and Income Tax Reviews Submission of various documents to SARS and other bodies Liaising with clients, SARS and various other bodies General administration Filing Other related reasonable tasks that will arise from time to time Candidate Requirements A minimum of 5 years experience in Bookkeping and Payroll administration, with exposure to working in an accounting or audit practice setting. Comprehensive understanding of South African payroll and compliance requirements. Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to data accuracy and record-keeping. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding client service. A collaborative team player who is reliable, professional, and adaptable.
