We’re looking for a skilled Structural Engineer to join a dynamic, forward-thinking team that delivers world-class engineering services across Southern Africa and beyond. As a Structural Engineer, you will work closely with the Divisional Manager in the Sugar & Industrial division, contributing to the design and delivery of innovative structural and civil solutions in sectors such as heavy industry, ports, and commercial developments. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and specification of concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
• Foundation design for industrial structures and equipment.
• Structural steel connection design and shop drawing review.
• Concrete rebar detailing and checking.
• Conduct condition assessments and prepare technical reports.
• Develop specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Participate in feasibility studies, plant layouts, and cost optioneering.
• Engage with clients and contribute to marketing and proposal development.
• Coordinate with internal and external technical teams.
• Perform site inspections and ensure ISO 9001:2015 QMS compliance.
• Support internal tools and standards improvement initiatives.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Education: BSc / BEng (Civil) or BTech (Structures)
• Experience: 10+ years in structural engineering across multi-disciplinary projects
• Registration: ECSA registered (PrEng or PrTech)
• Strong background in industrial engineering sectors (e.g. sugar, paper, ports)
• Experience in consulting engineering and commercial buildings
• Proficient in Prokon, Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office (rebar detailing software is a plus)
• Solid understanding of engineering workflows, interdisciplinary coordination, and applicable codes/standards
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required
