• Degree in Commercial, Supply Chain or Marketing Management
• 510 years procurement experience within the hardware retail environment
• Strong supplier relationship management and customer-focused approach
• In-depth understanding of retail supply, demand and market dynamics
• Proven ability to develop and execute category strategies that drive sales, profitability and market share

Duties include:

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with Merchandise and Group objectives.
• Analyse market trends, sales performance and customer insights to identify growth opportunities
• Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships, including joint business planning and trade agreements.
• Lead pricing, promotional and ranging strategies to drive sales, profitability and market share
• Monitor supplier performance, quality, capacity and supply chain risks.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales and suppliers on category plans and product launches.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and factory visits to ensure quality, pricing and service standards.
• Negotiate dropshipment and retail gross profit targets.
• Drive house-brand launches, promotional killer deals and effective in-store execution.
• Provide product ranging leadership for existing and new stores
