Durban: Senior SQL Database Administrator

Requirements: 5 to 8 years experience SQL Data Base Administration experience on multiple servers and environments Experience with High availability server solutions Replication experience Upgrading of SQL servers experience General security, RBAC and Row Level Security required Backup and management of files and database storage space and file sizes is critical Ability to monitor and identify problem areas Managing governance and documenting SQL Administering both cloud and on prem SQL ADVANTAGEOUS: AI Skills with RAG ADVANTAGEOUS: Certification in SQL Database Administration ADVANTAGEOUS: DevOps SQL development and management HOURS: 20 hours a week (more to follow based on customer interest) Rate Per Hour negotiable Remote-based and must have own hardware. A weekly meeting in Durban will happen (or virtually if based outside the Greater Durban area). Strong SOP and Documentation skills and ability to work with DevOps or GitHub advantageous. Must be able to work independently and proactively.
