Durban South: Management Accountant posted by Network Finance

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare journals, reconciliations and general ledger entries
• Support the preparation of management accounts and financial statements
• Produce financial reports including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow reports

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process supplier invoices, purchase orders and payments
• Reconcile customer and supplier accounts
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions

Cost Accounting

• Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs, including materials, labour and overheads
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cost estimates
• Support cost-saving initiatives through financial analysis

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation

Finance Support

• Capture and maintain financial data within the accounting system
• Assist with ad hoc finance projects and reporting requirements
• Collaborate with various departments to support business objectives

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related qualification
• 0-2 years’ accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Solid understanding of accounting principles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with SAP will be highly advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
