FINISHING SITE SUPERVISOR / EAST LONDON & PORT ELIZABETH
Our client in the construction industry is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finishing Site Supervisor to oversee the final finishing stages of construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring all aesthetic, structural, and quality aspects are completed to the highest standard before handover to the client. The successful candidate will ensure all work complies with specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Relevant construction or building trade qualification advantageous
- Minimum 35 years experience in construction finishing/site supervision
- Strong knowledge of finishing trades including painting, tiling, ceilings, plastering, flooring, fittings, and snag lists
- Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good problem-solving and quality control abilities
- Valid drivers licence advantageous
- Willingness to travel between sites when required
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all finishing activities on-site to ensure quality workmanship
- Coordinate contractors and subcontractors during the finishing phase
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure defects/snags are resolved promptly
- Ensure projects are completed according to specifications and deadlines
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations on-site
- Liaise with project managers, suppliers, and clients where required
- Ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards
- Prepare sites for final inspections and client handover
- Maintain accurate site records and progress reports
Salary – Market related +- R15k
