About the Role

Our client in the hospitality industry, located in the Amatola Coastal region, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Front of House / Junior Bookkeeper to join their team. This role combines front-of-house responsibilities with junior bookkeeping duties, ideal for someone who enjoys working with people while maintaining strong financial and administrative control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing guest reservations and bookings
  • Handling guest enquiries (in person, telephonic, and email)
  • Welcoming guests and ensuring a high standard of customer service
  • Assisting with check-ins, check-outs, and general front-desk duties
  • Processing guest payments accurately
  • Reconciling daily takings and payment records
  • Assisting with invoicing and receipts
  • Maintaining organised records and filing systems
  • Capturing financial transactions on Xero
  • Assisting with basic reconciliations
  • Supporting month-end administrative and bookkeeping processes
  • Liaising with management regarding financial queries
  • Supporting the operational needs of the hospitality business
  • Assisting with ad hoc administrative and operational tasks as required

Requirements

  • 23 years experience in a similar front-of-house and/or junior bookkeeping role
  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience with Xero
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Willingness to work hospitality hours (Monday to Saturday)
