Job Description
Minimum Requirements
- B Eng, BSc Eng or BTech (Civil) from a recognized South African institution.
- Professional Registration: Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng registration with ECSA
- Minimum of 8 years of post-graduate site experience.
- Labour-Intensive Construction unit standard at NQF Level 7 (SAQA-accredited).
- Successfully executed at least TWO (2) bridge construction projects in a lead/site representative capacity.
- Full-time site presence for the contract duration.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Engineers Representative on the LIC bridge project and administer the contract (e.g., GCC).
- Plan and coordinate construction to achieve scope, programme, quality, safety and environmental targets.
- Maintain records/measurements and support payment certification and reporting.
- Engage with Employer, Contractor and community structures in line with LIC principles.
- Apply the companys Quality Management System (QMS) in all work
- Facilitate monthly reports and co-ordinate with all engineers site staff and related resources.
- Supervision of daily works, quality control, quantity measurements and verification.
- Review method statements, programmes and HSE documentation.
- Stakeholder coordination and issue resolution.
- Progress, payment and close-out documentation.
Required Skills:
- Proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable leading on site.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Able to mentor and guide junior personnel.

- Salary: Market-related.
- Bonus: Annual discretionary bonus paid in December, based on employee and company performance.
