Minimum Requirements

• B Eng, BSc Eng or BTech (Civil) from a recognized South African institution.
• Professional Registration: Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng registration with ECSA
• Minimum of 8 years of post-graduate site experience.
• Labour-Intensive Construction unit standard at NQF Level 7 (SAQA-accredited).
• Successfully executed at least TWO (2) bridge construction projects in a lead/site representative capacity.
• Full-time site presence for the contract duration.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Engineers Representative on the LIC bridge project and administer the contract (e.g., GCC).
• Plan and coordinate construction to achieve scope, programme, quality, safety and environmental targets.
• Maintain records/measurements and support payment certification and reporting.
• Engage with Employer, Contractor and community structures in line with LIC principles.
• Apply the companys Quality Management System (QMS) in all work
• Facilitate monthly reports and co-ordinate with all engineers site staff and related resources.
• Supervision of daily works, quality control, quantity measurements and verification.
• Review method statements, programmes and HSE documentation.
• Stakeholder coordination and issue resolution.
• Progress, payment and close-out documentation.

Required Skills:

• Proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable leading on site.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Able to mentor and guide junior personnel.
