Duties:

Lead and manage a team of Shift Leaders, Maintenance Artisans, Apprentices, and support staff, including Tooling Leads and Setters.

Oversee the maintenance of machinery and equipment, encompassing preventive, predictive, planned, and emergency repairs.

Supervise activities to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely, maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Plan and execute machinery relocations, dismantling, and removal of obsolete equipment.

Develop schedules for preventative maintenance based on equipment wear data and manufacturer recommendations.

Coordinate maintenance activities to minimise production downtime.

Utilize maintenance records for predictive analysis and planning.

Maintain relationships with key suppliers and manage spare parts inventories.

Control spares inventory through the Maximo system, ensuring optimal stock levels.

Schedule work to maximize machine utilization and prevent idle time.

Prioritise backlog tasks and plan maintenance schedules accordingly.

Strategically plan staff leave to ensure maintenance coverage.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives among maintenance personnel.

Conduct regular meetings on safety, skills development, and company policies.

Manage and report on plant performance metrics and scorecards.

Perform ad hoc tasks and special projects as required.

Ensure efficient tooling changes and machinery upgrades.
Requirements:

Relevant degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) is preferable.

Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.

Strong planning and project management skills.

Analytical and critical thinking capabilities.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior maintenance role within the automotive industry.
