About the Role

The University of Fort Hare is seeking an experienced Manager to oversee the implementation and management of its SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) functions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the SHE functions for the University of Fort Hare
Financial Planning & Budgeting for the Organisational Unit
Staff Management within the SHE department
Implementation and management of SHE policies and procedures
Conducting SHE compliance audits

Requirements

A relevant NQF 7 Degree in Health and Safety Management
First Aid Level 2 certification
Legal Liability (NQF 1) registration
At least 6 years of experience in the Built Environment sector
3 years of leadership experience
Sound experience and track record in determining and implementing SHE policies and procedures

Qualifications

Registration with SACPCMP/SAIOSH
NEBOSH/SAMTRAC/SHAMTRAC or equivalent certification
Experience working in a Higher Education context
