About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Restaurant Manager to join our award-winning hotel restaurant in Franschhoek, where you will oversee daily operations, control staff for both lunch and dinner service, and drive quality of food, drinks, and tasting menu experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations and ensure high standards of food, drinks, and service
- Control and direct staff for both lunch and dinner service to achieve quality and consistency
- Work with daily bookings, invoices, emails, and correspondence
- Staff scheduling and meetings to discuss menu highlights, set up requirements, and service standards
- Procurement of goods & equipment as well as sourcing, recruitment, and training of staff
- Financial budgets and profitability management
- Guest overall experience and professional yet relaxed restaurant atmosphere
Requirements
- Senior, highly motivated candidate with previous High-Volume Restaurant Management experience
- Advanced food & beverage knowledge with additional skills in WINES, Artisan COFFEE
- Exceptional verbal & written communication skills in English
- Highly proficient in Point of Sale and Back of House software as well as Excel, Word & Office
