We are expanding our design team and seeking a highly experienced Senior Chemical Process Design Engineer to join our dynamic and growing organization.

Role Overview

As a Senior Chemical Process Design Engineer, you will lead the conceptual and detailed design of chemical processes, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications, from feasibility studies through to project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of process designs, calculations, and documentation.
• Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and process datasheets.
• Specify and size process equipment such as reactors, heat exchangers, separators, and distillation columns.
• Conduct process simulations using tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or equivalent.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., HAZOP, LOPA, SIL).
• Support project estimation, proposal preparation, and client technical meetings.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in process design best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in process design and engineering, preferably within the [specific sector, e.g., oil & gas, petrochemical, or renewable energy] industry.
• Strong knowledge of process simulation and engineering software (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, PRO/II, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience in FEED, detailed design, and EPC project phases.
• Excellent understanding of relevant international codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.).
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
