Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis and Modelling: Build and maintain financial models to assess the creditworthiness of potential borrowers, evaluate risk, and analyze financial structures. Conduct sensitivity analysis to understand economic impacts and optimize capital structure.
- Debt Structuring: Develop and negotiate financing solutions aligned with our risk framework, collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Return and Profitability Analysis: Analyze potential lending opportunities, assess returns, and provide financial performance insights. Formulate pricing strategies based on risk.
- Strategic Recommendations: Prepare and present detailed reports for decision-making committees, emphasizing data-driven risk assessments and strategic advice.
- Risk Management: Monitor the credit portfolio for emerging risks and enhance risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field; CA(SA), MBA, or CFA preferred.
- Minimum of two years in a credit role within a financial institution.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
- Interest in finance and strategy, with corporate finance experience being a plus.
