About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Wildlife/Reserve Manager to join our team at Bright Placements (PTY) Ltd in Grahamstown. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wildlife management, conservation, or game breeding, with excellent leadership skills and a proven track record of success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the reserve, including animal care, habitat maintenance, and visitor services.
  • Develop and implement conservation plans to protect and preserve wildlife populations.
  • Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to promote sustainable land use practices.
  • Provide training and support to junior staff members.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on reserve activities and progress.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Nature Conservation/Wildlife Management or similar
  • 2-5 years’ experience in wildlife management/conservation/game breeding or similar
  • Valid EB Drivers Licence (Code 08)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and other management software
  • Experience in Photography/Videography and Social Media platform engagement
