Job Summary
Hire Resolve’s Client, a reputable mining company in the Northern Cape, is currently looking for an experienced HR/Administrator to join their mining team.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Computer Literacy
- 35 years experience in an administrative role, preferably in Mining/Security
- Experience with time & attendance systems and payroll processes
- Working knowledge of South African labour laws and compliance standards
Responsibilities:
- Support site security manager and Jnr Ops Manager.
- Offer support to the Payroll Officers by correcting time related errors and monitor the % of uncleared messages before payroll closure.
- Process relevant documents timely and accurately, according to Raid policies and procedures.
- Ensure a successful time-evaluation run for Raid employees to facilitate successful quota updates, deductions, and payments.
- Compile and draw relevant time & attendance reports; identify deviations and inform the respective supervisors.
- Perform internal time & attendance audits on overtime, unpaid leave, late arrivals, etc.
- Advise employees with time related matters, i.e., maternity leave & sick leave.
- Provide team members and supervisors with assistance as and when required within area of competence.
- Respond to employee requests for individual timekeeping reports; provide detailed documentation to employees regarding necessary corrections.
- Maintain supportive partnerships with Management and HR Embedded Team Members by exhibiting open communication and timely customer service to assist with workflows, exceptions, approvals, and other time and attendance concerns according to established standards.
- Alert designated management to potential timekeeping issues concerning employees or management.
- Contact relevant management to ensure that all hours are reviewed and approved prior to
capturing deadlines. - Support the set compliance standards of the team within work area with external (legislative, regulatory, permitting) local requirements as a minimum level of site performance.
- Resolve time related payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information and implementing changes.
- Provide time related payroll information to supervisors, employees, and other approved personnel.
- Provide training to relevant stakeholders on time & attendance procedures and systems.
- Upkeeping of the relevant training materials and toolbox talks in the time & attendance environment.
- Systems logging & testing of changes or improvements to the time and attendance processes & systems.
- This role is in the Human Resources department on a band 8 9 level and reporting to the Section Manager Reward and Payroll.
- Planning and implementing rosters for each rotation.
- Book medicals for new staff and for exit medicals for staff that are leaving.
- Monitor staff that must go for weekly and monthly check-ups at clinic and report if they are not attending to Jnr Ops Manager and Site manager.
- Liaise with clinic staff to make sure security is compliant.
- Office work and administration.

Attend meetings with security manager to take minutes.

Support security site manager in daily duties.

Ensure all operational documents are at hand for example leave forms, posting sheets, attendance registers etc. and distributed

Ensuring that all documents are filed on dates and departments and stored in a manner that would ease the auditing process.

Ensure that safety topics for the month are printed and distributed to shift supervisors.
