<p><strong>Role Purpose:</strong></p><p>To oversee the entire operation of a warehouse, ensuring that inventory is received, stored, and distributed efficiently. The candidate's role is critical in maintaining productivity, optimizing workflows, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>1. People (Performance &amp; Development)</strong></p><ul><li>To ensure that back up team members are trained, evaluated and signed off for all critical areas within the DC.</li><li>Ensuring solutions are provided on areas where KRA's are not met</li></ul><p><strong>2. Culture &amp; Innovation</strong></p><ul><li>To set and maintain acceptable levels of performance within all areas of responsibilities as per Labor Standards.</li><li>To participate in the ongoing development of a performance measurement framework.</li></ul><p><strong>3. Finance</strong></p><ul><li>To ensure that the site achieves an acceptable Shrinkage result within the set budgets.</li><li>Ensure that planning is conducted in line with set budgets and targets.</li><li>Ensuring full participation in regard to stock take preparation and execution.</li></ul><p><strong>4. Task Execution</strong></p><ul><li data-start="132" data-end="254"><p data-start="134" data-end="254">Confirm that all required daily, weekly, and monthly checks and balances are completed in line with company standards.</p></li><li data-start="255" data-end="317"><p data-start="257" data-end="317">Verify that DC adjustments align with established targets.</p></li><li data-start="318" data-end="408"><p data-start="320" data-end="408">Oversee the vault withdrawals process, ensuring it is properly managed and controlled.</p></li><li data-start="409" data-end="499"><p data-start="411" data-end="499">Maintain daily operations in the vault, with proper management and oversight.</p></li><li data-start="500" data-end="604"><p data-start="502" data-end="604">Conduct daily slot validations in the vault, ensuring processes are properly managed and controlled.</p></li><li data-start="605" data-end="699"><p data-start="607" data-end="699">Perform full monthly cycle counts in the vault, investigating and resolving any variances.</p></li><li data-start="700" data-end="760"><p data-start="702" data-end="760">Maintain system housekeeping standards on a daily basis.</p></li><li data-start="761" data-end="829"><p data-start="763" data-end="829">Validate all reports and promptly address any identified issues.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills and Competencies</strong></p><ul><li>Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.</li><li>Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.</li><li>Strong knowledge of WMS.</li><li>Leadership skills and ability manage staff.</li><li>Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent communication skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications &amp; Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Grade 12 (Matric) or higher.</li><li>IR Management &amp; Export experience.</li><li>Proven experience (minimum two years) in managing warehouse operations.</li><li>Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases (essential).</li><li>Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).</li></ul>
