<p><strong>Location</strong>: Bryanston</p><p><strong>Salary neg according to experience</strong></p><p><strong>PLEASE NOTE THAT APPLICANTS FROM FREIGHT FORWARDING AND LOGISTICS AND MARITIME COMPANIES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED </strong></p><p><strong>Non-negotiable requirements</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Hands-on experience of Logistics in Road, Sea or Air Freight (Combination of these is preferable) from an Agri OR Feed OR Animal Health company not a freight forwarder or logistics company </strong></li><li><strong>Working knowledge of incoterms, export documentation, managing transporters and related.</strong></li><li><strong>Degree / Diploma in Logistics and / or Supply Chain Management</strong></li><li><strong>MUST live within 20km from Bryanston</strong></li><li><strong>Have own transport</strong></li><li><strong>Good job tenure is a must (job hopping is a big dealbreaker for the client)</strong></li><li><strong>Competencies include</strong> Detail Oriented, creative problem solver, meticulous planner, excellent written and verbal communication, customer centricity, self-driven and motivated to succeed, takes ownership, accountable, manages stress/pressure, professional, high level of integrity.</li><li>All work-related written correspondence and verbal communications must be professionally presented and in grammatically correct English.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Responsibilities: (Suitable applicants MUST have experience in the duties below) </strong></p><ul><li>Controlling export logistics for shipments, predominately via road freight with opportunity for air and sea freight movements</li><li>Preparing freight documents</li><li>Liaising with State Veterinarians for inspections and health certificates when applicable</li><li>Scheduling Intertek, SGS, and related inspections when and where required</li><li>Negotiating freight rates with preferred transporters</li><li>Accurate consolidation of goods for shipment, including domestic movements</li><li>Coordinating upliftment of product</li><li>Working with and taking instruction from work colleges /sales agents /buyers to facilitate the logistics process</li><li>Controlling import logistics for shipments via sea freight</li><li>Liaising with freight forwarders, suppliers, and warehouse to ensure product movements progress smoothly and timely.</li><li>Liaising with state veterinary officials for import permits, health certificates, and/or goods in transit permits</li><li>Maintenance of all related transactional, and logistical documentation</li><li>Maintenance of all transactional and logistical information in a format that is easily interpreted by you and any other team member</li><li>Record all data within agreed process and structure</li><li>Regular communication to customers on progress of deliveries</li><li>Effective Management of customer expectations</li><li>Timely feedback on any changes to schedules</li><li>Escalation of any critical issues/customer concerns</li></ul><p><strong>If you have not received any feedback from us within 5 working days please consider your application unsuccessful.</strong></p><p>**By sending your CV along with other additional documents you give consent to HWR to process and retain your personal information for the current opportunity as well as for future opportunities**</p>
