Fine Dining Restaurant Group Sous Chef Joburg Salary Negotiable on experience A Fine Dining Restaurant is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join the dynamic kitchen team. The company pride themselves on delivering innovative, high-quality cuisine with a focus on creativity and exceptional flavours. The Sous Chef will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef and ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations. Key Responsibilities: Managing kitchen staff and daily kitchen operations. Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistent quality and adherence to recipes and standards. Contribute to menu planning by creating creative, innovative dishes that align with the restaurants culinary vision. Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain cost control to minimize waste. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to foster a collaborative and motivated team environment. Step in to lead the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence. Requirements: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role, preferably in a high-volume or fine-dining restaurant. Strong knowledge of South African and international cuisines. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
