Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network incidents (L1 to L2).
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, Wireshark, and PRTG.
• Implement network changes, upgrades, and migrations.
• Collaborate with L3 engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain accurate network documentation and configuration backups.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

• National Senior Certificate / Matric / N3 / Grade 12
• Degree or Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• ITIL Foundation Certification

Certifications preferred:

• Aruba (ACSP / ACMP / ACP – Campus Access)
• Fortinet NSE7

Experience:

• 3–5 years in a network support or engineering role
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, HP/Aruba, or Mikrotik
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, NAT, QoS

Skills:

• Proficient in network monitoring and diagnostic tools
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
