About the Role
A leading international business is seeking a Revenue Accountant to support a portfolio of UK-based clients. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, systems exposure, and a solid understanding of revenue recognition principles in a commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly Revenue Reporting: Deliver accurate monthly revenue reporting in line with agreed deadlines
- Manage inter-company revenue and cost transactions, ensuring no mismatches between entities
- Provide clear explanations on material variances between actual revenue and forecast
- Maintain supporting documentation for revenue recognition for audit purposes
- Working Capital Management: Perform monthly reconciliations for accrued and deferred revenue balances
- Agree balances with client leads and escalate high-risk or aged items
- Participate in monthly working capital meetings with senior finance leadership
- Client Team Support: Act as the day-to-day finance contact for client leads
- Provide ongoing support on client P&Ls and rolling forecasts
- Run weekly WIP reviews and support month-end revenue cut-offs
- Ensure that client teams meet key reporting deadlines and requirements
- General: Contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements
- Support the adoption of commercial best practices and improved weekly forecasting
Requirements
- Education: Part-qualified Accountant or qualified by experience
- Experience: Proven experience in revenue accounting and the financial management of client portfolios
- Skills: Strong commercial acumen and ability to interpret financial data
