Project Overview
The role involves providing technical and functional support and maintenance services for SAP R/3 ECC6 EHP7 and SAP S/4 HANA systems, with a focus on Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Manager Self-Service (MSS) modules.
Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality support, configuration, and maintenance services for SAP ESS/MSS modules, ensuring seamless functionality, user satisfaction, and alignment with business requirements in both SAP R/3 ECC6 EHP7 and SAP S/4 HANA environments.
Key Responsibilities
Configuration and Customization: Configure and customize SAP ESS/MSS modules to meet business requirements in SAP R/3 ECC6 EHP7 and SAP S/4 HANA systems.
Support and Maintenance: Provide Level 2 and 3 support for ESS/MSS-related issues, including troubleshooting, bug fixes, and system optimization.
Integration: Ensure seamless integration of ESS/MSS with other SAP modules (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Time Management) and external systems.
Functional Expertise: Translate business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring alignment with organizational processes.
Technical Development: Develop and enhance ESS/MSS functionalities using SAP tools such as Web Dynpro, Fiori, and ABAP when required.
User Support: Assist end-users (employees and managers) with ESS/MSS functionalities, including leave requests, timesheets, approvals, and personal data updates.
System Upgrades and Migration: Support system upgrades, enhancements, and migrations from ECC6 EHP7 to SAP S/4 HANA, ensuring minimal disruption to ESS/MSS services.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, technical designs, user guides, and process flows.
Training: Conduct training sessions for end-users and key stakeholders on ESS/MSS functionalities and best practices.
Testing: Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system reliability and performance.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with organizational policies, data security standards, and SAP best practices.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
SAP certification in HCM, ESS/MSS, or related modules is highly desirable.
Required Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an SAP ESS/MSS Consultant.
Proven experience in SAP R/3 ECC6 EHP7 and/or SAP S/4 HANA environments.
Hands-on experience in configuring and supporting ESS/MSS modules, including leave management, time management, and employee data maintenance.
Experience with SAP Fiori and SAP Portal for ESS/MSS user interfaces.
Strong knowledge of SAP HCM integration with ESS/MSS.
Experience in system upgrades, migrations, or enhancements from ECC to S/4 HANA is an advantage.
Familiarity with ABAP debugging and development for ESS/MSS customizations.
Technical Skills
Expertise in SAP ESS/MSS configuration and customization.
Proficiency in SAP Fiori, Web Dynpro, and SAP Portal.
Knowledge of SAP HCM modules (PA, OM, PY, TM) and their integration with ESS/MSS.
Understanding of SAP S/4 HANA architecture and its impact on ESS/MSS.
Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager for incident and change management.
Basic knowledge of ABAP programming for troubleshooting and minor developments.
Experience with SAP security roles and authorizations related to ESS/MSS.
