Kathu: Project Manager (Automation & Control Systems)

Key Responsibilities Manage all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out. Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to scope, budget, and quality standards. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports. Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle. Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors, ensuring coordination across all project interfaces. Facilitate technical and progress meetings with clients and internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with company and client quality, safety, and environmental standards. Manage project documentation, change control, and reporting requirements. Drive continuous improvement and ensure customer satisfaction upon project completion. Qualifications & Experience Diploma (NQF6), BTech, BEng in Electrical, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering. 12 years of experience managing projects within industrial automation, electrical, or instrumentation environments. Proven experience delivering turnkey EC&I or system integration projects (mining sector experience advantageous). Sound understanding of project management principles (PMBOK or PRINCE2 certification beneficial). Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Project or similar scheduling tools. Project Management Qualification. Additional Requirements Valid drivers licence (Code 10). Medically fit for site work. Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kathu, Northern Cape .
