Job Summary

Perform repairs through replacement of inoperative parts or re-wiring of circuits Plan and organize the electrical maintenance including of all required spares Inspect, maintain, fault find and record condition of high voltage equipment Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, and Company standards Contribute to a culture of zero harm by adhering to all requirements as laid down by health, safety, environmental, policies, and procedures, and the application of specific instructions to own work area and task completion Ensure that condition monitoring of equipment, scheduled and planned maintenance are conducted effectively Timely response to breakdown management and effectively conduct appropriate root cause analysis and diagnosis Investigate, diagnose and perform specialist electrical/electronic and related maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery according to set maintenance requirements, standards and specifications Exercise sound expert judgment with regards to repair versus replacement versus upgrade of components. Job specific requirements: Education Minimum Grade 10/Grade 12 advantageous Electrical Trade Qualification – Section 13 (Red Seal) Experience on high voltage (44 kV) cable installation, termination, fault finding and repairs. Substation maintenance. Physical Fitness: Must be fit to obtain a medical certificate of fitness to work underground Competent B certificate Underground Hard rock operations Medical Certificate of Fitness to work Underground Clean Criminal record
