Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee daily production to achieve hourly, daily, and monthly targets.
– Record and report production data accurately according to company standards.
– Coordinate resources to prevent downtime (e.g. ensure jaw crusher bin remains full).
– Plan and coordinate scheduled maintenance with the Engineering Foreman to maximise plant availability.
– Inspect plants with shift supervisors and engineering staff before each shift to prevent interruptions.
– Ensure correct material feed (dry vs wet, uncontaminated, and proper recycling) as per production plan.
– Monitor production quality and investigate faults (e.g. screen damage or size deviation).
– Train and retrain supervisors and operators to maintain consistent performance.
– Drive continuous process improvements and promote best practices.
– Enforce strict compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and company safety standards.

Requirements:
– Grade 12 / Matric (tertiary qualification in Production or Mining Management advantageous).
– Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in mining production or crushing and screening operations.
– Strong technical knowledge; maintenance background highly beneficial.
– Trade certificate (Mechanical or Electrical) advantageous.
– Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to demand performance.
– Proven track record in managing teams and achieving production targets.
– Familiarity with Mine Health & Safety Act and relevant certifications (e.g. NOSA, Competence A).
– Willingness to work extended hours as required by operational demands.
– Clear criminal and reference checks essential.
