Job Description
A dynamic and fast-paced group environment is looking for an experienced finance professional who thrives on accuracy, reporting, analysis, and problem-solving.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being deeply involved in the numbers while partnering closely with senior management and operations across multiple entities.
Youll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, analysing performance, improving processes, and ensuring the finance function operates at a high standard within a demanding multi-company environment.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for:
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual Group management reporting
- Preparing and presenting financial reports for board packs
- Analysing Income Statements, Balance Sheets, supplier ageing, and cash movement
- Assisting with budgeting, VAT returns, month-end reporting, and audit processes
- Investigating discrepancies and resolving financial anomalies
- Supporting cost analysis initiatives and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Assisting with financial administration and Group reporting processes
- Liaising with operations, accountants, internal IT support, and Sage
- Maintaining accounting policies and ensuring adherence to financial procedures
- Supporting management with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis requests
- Managing API balancing and assisting with Sage-related queries
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Non-negotiable requirements:
- Bookkeeping Diploma from a recognised institution
- Minimum 5 years relevant finance experience
- Strong multi-company finance exposure
- Retail industry experience advantageous
- Experience on Sage One Accounting and Sage Intacct
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and report presentation
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple competing priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
