Newcastle: Clinical Technologist / Unit Manager (Newcastle)

About the Role

We are seeking a Clinical Technologist/Unit Manager to join our team in Newcastle, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and management of unit operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure existing and new staff are trained regarding Patient Control Sheet System
• Draw up and send monthly reports to the Regional Manager
• Ensure staff adhere to the Time and Attendance system
• Arrange with HR Business Partner for Unit staff to attend training courses and or congresses
• Recruitment of new staff
• Supervise and evaluate the quality of the patient care provided
• Plan and conduct performance appraisals twice yearly and provide Head Office with copies
• Accurately monitor and record stock in accordance with Head Office Procedures
• Order stock as required
• Maintain strict adherence to capturing DataWise information
• Ensure maintenance of Kidney Wise program
• Adhere to all company Policies

Requirements

• Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse or with HPCSA as a Graduate Clinical Technologist
• Previous Management Experience advantageous
• Nephrology Course (Essential)
• BHSc Clinical Technology (Nephrology) MS package (Essential)
• Valid drivers license and own reliable transport essential
• Renal experience (Essential)
• BLS certificate (Validity Essential)
