About the Role

Join our dynamic team at The Vineyard -, Oude Werf – & Stellenbosch Hotels as a Corporate & MICE Sales Manager, where you will play a crucial role in growing and managing corporate and MICE segments across the Petousis Hotel Group. With a passion for corporate travel and events, exceptional relationship-building ability, and strong commercial acumen, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and fostering long-term relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow corporate and MICE segments across the Petousis Hotel Group
  • Serve as primary liaison for corporate clients, travel management companies, and MICE partners across all properties
  • Build and maintain strong key account relationships
  • Conduct structured account reviews to assess performance, opportunities, and risks
  • Lead the annual corporate and MICE contracting process
  • Negotiate corporate rates, MICE packages, and commercial terms in line with revenue strategy
  • Oversee contract execution and ensure accurate documentation and record keeping
  • Identify and secure new corporate and MICE opportunities
  • Grow share of wallet within existing accounts through upselling and cross-property solutions
  • Represent the group at networking events, workshops, trade shows, and site inspections
  • Collaborate with Revenue to align pricing, availability, and account profitability
  • Collaborate with Reservations, Events, and Marketing to ensure seamless servicing and brand-aligned communication
  • Track and report on corporate/MICE sales performance, pipeline activity, and account production
  • Manage the corporate and MICE sales budget
  • Monitor ROI on sales spend
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, client correspondence, and account documentation

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a corporate and/or MICE hotel sales role within a 4*/5* environment
  • Proven experience managing corporate and MICE accounts, contracts, and client relationships with a strong knowledge of the South African corporate and events market
  • Familiarity with hotel PMS and sales systems (Opera, Cvent, Microsoft Office)
  • Experience representing hotels/hotel groups at travel trade shows and industry events
