REQUIREMENT:
– RSA ID and legal residence essential
– FGASA Level 2 (or higher preferred)
– Lead Trails Guide qualification essential
– Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH)
– Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
– Valid First Aid certification
– Proven experience as a Senior / Head Guide in a Big 5 environment
– Strong leadership and team management skills
– Excellent knowledge of wildlife, ecosystems, and tracking
– Strong communication and guest hosting ability
– Professional, well-presented, and guest-focused
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Lead and manage the guiding department and daily operations
– Conduct game drives and guided bush walks to a high standard
– Ensure guest safety and exceptional experiences at all times
– Mentor, train, and develop junior guides
– Maintain guiding vehicles, firearms, and equipment
– Oversee guiding schedules and team performance
– Ensure compliance with safety standards and lodge procedures
– Uphold conservation principles and ethical guiding practices
– Work closely with lodge management to enhance guest experience
