Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics.
• 1–2 years’ sales or customer service experience, preferably within a retail, wholesale or trade environment.
• Experience within the air-conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing or hardware industry will be advantageous.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• Experience using a point-of-sale (POS) or ERP system will be beneficial.
• Valid driver’s licence (non-negotiable).
• Good numerical ability, excellent communication skills and a strong customer service focus.
• Willingness to learn and build a career within the HVAC-R industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist walk-in and inbound telephone customers with product enquiries and sales.
• Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable air-conditioning and refrigeration products.
• Prepare accurate quotations and process sales orders.
• Process cash, card and account sales in accordance with company procedures.
• Liaise with the warehouse regarding stock availability and customer collections.
• Follow up on quotations and customer enquiries.
• Assist with stock receiving, stock counts and inventory control.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, technicians and trade customers.
• Keep up to date with new products, promotions and industry developments.
• Maintain a clean, organised and professional sales counter and showroom.
