Vacancy: IOD Case Coordinator

Port Elizabeth / Gqeberha
Half-day Position (Approximately 45 Hours Daily)

We are seeking a professional and organised Work Hardening Case Coordinator to assist with the administration and coordination of work hardening and Injury on Duty (IOD) cases. The successful candidate will liaise with medical professionals, employers, patients, and funders to ensure the smooth handling of patient cases and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate administrative processes for work hardening and IOD cases
  • Track referrals and ensure all required documentation is received
  • Follow up on medical reports, ICD-10 codes, referrals, and outstanding IOD documentation
  • Maintain accurate patient records and case tracking systems
  • Monitor active cases to ensure timelines and processes are followed
  • Liaise with therapists and healthcare professionals regarding outstanding information
  • Communicate professionally with employers, HR departments, doctors, hospitals, patients, and funders
  • Handle telephonic and email correspondence efficiently
  • Assist with scheduling, reporting, and electronic filing systems

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience in medical administration, healthcare coordination, or case management support
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up consistently
  • Experience within healthcare, occupational health, physiotherapy, OT, medical practice, or insurance environments advantageous
  • Experience with IOD / COIDA administration highly beneficial
