Requirements

• Matric certificate.
• Fluent in both Afrikaans and English (spoken and written).
• Computer literate with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure.
• A BCom degree or other accounting qualification will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Sage Payroll, Sage Accounting and GhostPractice will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting duties up to trial balance.
• Prepare VAT calculations and submit VAT returns to SARS.
• Process payroll and submit relevant statutory returns to SARS.
• Prepare and submit Workman’s Compensation documentation.
• Provide accounting support across the legal services, rental and hospitality divisions.

Previous Experience (Advantageous)

• Experience in accounting up to trial balance.
• Experience with VAT calculations and VAT submissions to SARS.
• Experience with payroll processing and SARS submissions.
• Experience preparing and submitting Workman’s Compensation documentation.
