Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Management, Computer Science or a related qualification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience implementing or supporting Sage software solutions.
  • Previous ERP consulting experience.
  • Strong accounting and financial systems knowledge.
  • Client-facing consulting experience.
  • Experience with one or more of the following is advantageous:
    • Sage 200 Evolution
    • Sage Evolution
    • Sage Intacct
    • Sage X3
    • Sage Pastel Partner
    • Sage Business Cloud
    • Sage VIP Payroll
    • Sage Payroll Professional
    • Sage CRM
  • Strong understanding of ERP implementation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory Management, Procurement, Sales Order Processing and Fixed Assets.
  • Manufacturing and Payroll knowledge advantageous.
  • SQL basics and Microsoft SQL Server knowledge.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Power BI and Crystal Reports experience advantageous.
  • Experience with data migration and system integrations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong financial and business process analysis ability.
  • Project management experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and training skills.
  • Strong planning, organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites when required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Sage ERP software implementations from initiation through to completion.
  • Analyse client business processes and recommend best-practice solutions.
  • Gather and document business requirements.
  • Configure Sage software to meet client operational needs.
  • Develop implementation plans and project timelines.
  • Conduct data migration, testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Manage system go-live activities and post-implementation support.
  • Provide technical and functional support to clients.
  • Troubleshoot software and ERP-related issues.
  • Assist with upgrades, patches and new software releases.
  • Resolve accounting and ERP-related queries.
  • Review client processes and recommend automation opportunities.
  • Improve financial reporting and operational efficiencies.
  • Deliver onsite and virtual user training.
  • Develop training documentation and user guides.
  • Coach finance teams and end users.
  • Design and customise management reports and dashboards.
  • Assist clients with budgeting and forecasting functionality.
  • Build customised financial reports.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement.
  • Identify additional consulting opportunities.
  • Maintain implementation documentation and project records.
  • Track project milestones, budgets and timelines.
  • Prepare implementation reports and project summaries.
