About the Role

The Shift Supervisor (Plate Making) role is a critical position in our production team, responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring high-quality products are delivered to meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve production targets through optimal use of resources and team capabilities.
  • Ensure production efficiency, effectiveness, and quality in line with schedules and targets.
  • Maintain open communication with relevant departments to ensure high product quality standards.
  • Complete and maintain all production records and related documentation accurately.
  • Coordinate first-line maintenance to minimise downtime and disruptions.
  • Raise and manage job cards for maintenance work, ensuring required permits are in place.
  • Approve job cards upon successful completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure equipment and work areas are safe and that housekeeping standards are consistently maintained.

Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Certificate in a technical or production-related field (NQF 5)
  • Diploma in a technical or production-related field (NQF 6)
  • Trade Test (NQF 5) advantageous
  • First Line Management qualification (NQF 5) advantageous
  • Supervisory development programme advantageous
