To manufacture, assemble, and finish high-quality cabinetry, shopfitting furniture, and custom joinery components according to technical drawings, specifications, and company quality standards. The role ensures that all products are completed accurately, safely, and within production deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and assembly instructions.Assemble shopfitting units, cabinets, counters, shelving, display units, and custom furniture.Install hardware including hinges, drawer runners, locks, handles, and brackets.Ensure components are assembled accurately and meet quality standards.Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.Perform minor adjustments, trimming, and finishing of assembled units.Conduct quality inspections before products are released for dispatch.Repair or rectify defects identified during assembly or quality inspections.Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and report any faults immediately.Minimum RequirementsGrade 12 (Matric) preferred.Qualification or trade certification in Cabinet Making, Carpentry, Joinery, or Woodworking is advantageous.35 years’ experience in cabinet making or shopfitting manufacturing.Experience assembling retail fixtures and custom cabinetry.Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately.Good knowledge of woodworking materials and hardware.Valid driver’s licence.
