About the Role

Ares Holdings is seeking a Sales Assistant on a contract basis to join their team in Roodepoort. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth for our well-established international brand.

Key Responsibilities

Acknowledge every customer within 30 seconds
Deliver excellent customer service to every customer
Establish customers’ needs and use technical knowledge to demonstrate benefits
Close the sale & secure add-on sales
Monitor daily sales against individual budget every few hours
Replenish footwear, apparel, and accessories from storeroom daily
Minimise shrinkage by zoning the store, acknowledging customers, and following store changing room policy
Ensure stock entries in POS systems are accurate
Process deliveries by checking quantities, invoicing, tagging, hanging, and pricing product, and recording in POS System
Process customer orders
Daily Operations: maintain store housekeeping, dusting, cleaning mirrors, vacuuming, emptying bins, clearing counter area, and tidying change rooms
Assist manager with open and closing the store
Set up monthly meetings with store manager to discuss progress

Requirements

Grade 12 or Equivalent
1 year of customer services experience minimum
Crocs product knowledge advantageous (not specified in original job description)
