About the Role
Dante Personnel is seeking a **Warehouse Operations Manager** at Roodepoort, a South African-based company. This role is designed to support the company’s growth and operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate should have a relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field, with at least 7+ years of experience in warehouse operations. They should demonstrate strong leadership and management skills in managing a multi-function warehouse, leading teams, and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a large, multi-function warehouse operation.
- Lead and develop warehouse teams through supervisors and team leaders.
- Ensure inventory control, receiving, put-away, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, and dispatch processes are efficient.
- Work with ERP/WMS systems, SAP, and warehouse scanning technology.
- Understand and implement process improvements to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Manage warehouse layout, capacity planning, space optimization, and resource planning.
- Handle operational budgets and manage warehouse costs effectively.
- Utilize Excel and data-analysis capabilities.
- Ensure health, safety, and security compliance in warehouse environments.
- Manage warehouse projects, systems implementations, and automation.
- Have a strong understanding of supply chain and distribution principles.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in warehouse operations.
- Proven experience managing a large, multi-function warehouse.
- Strong Excel and data-analysis capabilities.
