About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Lodge Manager for a luxury five star game lodge in the Greater Kruger. This is a career defining opportunity for a strong leader who lives for guest delight, thrives in the bush and knows how to run a seamless operation from front to back of house.
Key Responsibilities
- Full oversight of Front of House including reception, guest hosting, banking, reports and guest feedback systems
- Housekeeping management including room checks, standards, uniforms and staff leadership
- Maintenance oversight including preventative schedules, staff accommodation and hands on understanding of electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, pool care and general upkeep
- Health and Safety leadership including risk assessments and fire procedures
- Financial management including budgeting, monthly reports and expense control
- HR duties including staff development, training, leave cycles and morale
- Guest hosting, bush banqueting and ensuring exceptional safari experiences
Requirements
Minimum 5 years management experience within a five star boutique lodge or Big Five reserve
Hospitality management qualification
Strong operational and financial experience
Room division experience
Practical maintenance knowledge
High emotional intelligence
Strong IT and administrative skills
Valid driver’s licence and own transport essential
